***WHAT IS $5 Shipping?
This shipping is Non-Standard and Oversized Mail (plain old letter mail) with Canada Post. Items are vacuumed packed flat to meet the required dimensions and sent in a manila envelope. TRACKING IS NOT AVAILABLE. Once the envelope has been accepted by Canada Post The Yak Yarnery is NO LONGER RESPONSIBLE for the order. Refunds will NOT be offered if you do not receive the order. If you have not received the order in 30 days you can contact Canada Post but odds are they will be of no help. DO NOT CONTACT THE YAK YARNERY. Without tracking it is impossible to locate the envelope. This is the risk you assume by requesting the most economical form of shipping provided by The Yak Yarnery.
To date, not one envelope sent by The Yak has been lost by Canada Post (knock on wood) but it is still a possibility that you should consider thoroughly. If tracking is needed and you feel shipping costs are not feasible please contact me and I may be able to work something out.
***WHAT CAN I SHIP USING $5 SHIPPING?
Please be aware that not all products are available to ship in this manner. Yarn that is in skein form most often can be vacuum packed flat enough to meet regular post dimension (14.9” X 10.6” X .8”) requirements. Jumbo balls, yarn balls and yarn cakes do not usually qualify. Knitting needles, crochet hooks and most notions will meet requirements. I encourage you to consider the size, shape and packaging of the products you are interested in before reaching out to see if it qualifies. If something is packaged on a cone it will obviously not qualify or if it is a ball of chunky yarn it most likely will not work. If you are unsure please do not hesitate with reaching out to me. I try to answer inquiries as quickly as I can.
